Hello again:
Maybe Rumsfeld isn´t a complete lunatic. What if the
Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld group´s strategy was, from the
begining, war with Iraq, then war with Iran?
This would make sense from the point of view of
control over petroleum and natural gas resources.
It could also be a reason Rumsfeld insisted on smaller
forces for Iraq than his generals wanted.
This would also fit the picture of Bush´s all out
defense of Rumsfeld who looks like an albatross around
Bush´s neck from just about any other perspective.
Just a thought.
All the best, Anthony
