When is the moderator going to call a halt? This long thread discussing
Walter - rather than his views - is pretty distasteful. If he's such a
disruptive or malign influence, why hasn't he been unsubbed rather than left
twisting in the wind as a pinata for his ideological opponents to whack away
at? Personally, I'm glad he's a conduit for news and views from Cuba; I
wouldn't access this information otherwise and I value what the Cubans, with
their experience, think. I appreciate Walter's dedication in providing this
service to Marxmail readers and to a wider internet audience. I don't find
his views repetitive or tiresome anymore than I do Proyect's or Rubinelli's
or Bustelo's or Walters' or Pollack's or Feldman's who also hammer away at
what they think is right. We all know how to be politically discriminating,
and don't need guidance from above about which of these views we ought to
respect and which we are obliged to dismiss.
