Perhaps Shaw. In the Act IV of (I think) Man and Superman, separately
entitled "Don Juan in Hell." Hell is a pleasant place, but Don Juan gets
bored and decides its his duty to go up to heaven, where life is more
challenging. or something like that. I read this nearly 60 years ago so
my memory of it is pretty jumbled.
