Citizenship? I thought the workers had no country. Louis sneaks this in
because he knows Walter actually lives in Cuba about three months a year and
is therefore more competent to speak about Cuba than most of us, citizenship
notwithstanding. By Louis' method, if Walter started writing 3 times as much
stuff about LA as he does about Cuba, he would then become a balanced
contributor.

I always find Walter's posts about his experiences in Cuba interesting.
Walter seems to think that I will read about five times as many posts about
Cuba as I actually have time or interest in. And I am really interested in
Cuba. Keeping us up on how the American bourgeoisie has still not reconciled
itself to Cuba on a blow-by-blow basis I find less useful. But if you think
Walter posts a lot to this list, subscribe to Walter's Cuba list and you
will see the man's powers fully unleashed. Walter is an enthusiast. He is
not good at self-editing because he finds the information about Cuba so
interesting and he believe it has inherent power to change people's minds.

Louis' other advice to post less often and when you actually have something
new to say is more relevant here than his musing on the revelatory power of
citizenship. I would like to know what Walter has observed in Cuba in
relation to the education initiative launched when the Cubans decided to get
out of the business of producing sugar unproductively, back in about 2002.
There is nowhere near enough discussion of that major change on this list,
in my opinion.
