This about sums up the coverage in UK newspapers also. However, my problem
isn't so much with them, more with the legion of leftist commenators who've
capitulated in the face of imperialist propaganda with regard to the Balkans. It
was the same in this country with regard to the war in Ireland, the mainstream
media constantly referring to the IRA as criminals and murderers, the Brit
left shamefully absent as a result. This year is the 25th anniversary of the
Hunger Strikes, led by Bobby Sands, during which ten men starved themselves to
death for political status. Wonder how many criminals and murderers have ever
willingly endured such a painful and excruciating death for a cause?
