Revolution Risks and Resolve in Cuban Film

Havana, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) A documentary on transcendent moments
of the first four years of the revolutionary process, now televised,
recall for Cubans the risks faced and steadfastness shown by their
leaders.

"Los cuatro años que estremecieron a Cuba - Four Years that Shook
Cuba", by the Institute of Cinematographic Arts and Industry, covers
the national history between 1959 and 1962.

>From January 1959´s victory, the revolutionary movement led by Fidel
Castro brought to trial the main criminals of Fulgencio Batista´s
dictatorship, accused by those tortured and relatives of those
murdered.

The material shows how revolutionary measures taken to benefit the
people were always responded to by Washington with threats and
attempts to thwart them in order to maintain its economic-political
hold on the Island.
