RE: [Marxism] Balance sheet of the struggle in the Australian DSP

I greatly appreciate Bob Gould's efforts to clarify who is who and what
is what in the DSP, like that Peter Boyle is like Stalin even though
Percy is no Trotsky.

But perhaps Bob could share with us his thoughts about the politics --
there are characterizations like ultraleft and Bob's own take that Percy
and his friends won the literary debate -- but very little in Bob's
report on the *substance* of the debate and *Bob's own* opinion about
it.

One point I would agree with Bob on, which is that it would be great if
the DSP could make available (I assume they're in electronic form) some
of the discussion articles from the various sides. I can well understand
that not having had a tradition of sharing such materials more widely,
this may be a difficult moment for the DSP to start moving in that
direction, since the differences haven't been overcome. But now that
votes have been taken, it may not be so awkward.

And while the issues in dispute seem quite specific to the Australian
comrades (at least insofar as one can kind of guess what they might be
from the CPGB and Ozleft reporting), this whole area of
regroupment/refoundation and "party building" is very important for
people elsewhere, not just in Australia.
