What you are describing is capitalism degenerating into barbarism. Not the
survival of the species, but the path to our inevitable demise--hence the
slogan, "Socialism or Barbarism!"
The key to achieving socialism is to recognize that capitalism stands in the
way and must be brought down. And the only class capable of that is the
world's working class and all of its allies. And only if they act
independently of all capitalist politics, in their own interests and in
their own defense.
Socialism is the only hope for the survival of all species on this little
planet.
