Tom Good - the first name on the list of organizers - came out of the Communist 
Party and went into the Socialist Party, which he just left recently (there's a 
spat of relatively high profile members leaving lately, myself included).  He's 
an "unrepentant New Leftist" by his own admission and formed the autonomist 
Marxist Direct Action Tendency in the SP.  Kyle Taylor, the Michigan organizer, 
is also SP/DAT and a follower of Good.  Knowing Tom (aside from the fact that 
he's in his 40s), seeing his name on something like this isn't a surprise.  I 
suspected he'd be forming an external group back around July.  It'll be 
interesting to see if it gets anywhere.
