There is a strong temptation for many young people, and even some of
us older ones, to make light of what is really serious. This is not
just those of us who claim to be revolutionists. Many do it,
especially the male half of the species. But you can hear some mighty
vicious dishing from the feminine side as well.

It is sometimes called gallows humor or foxhole humor. Its role is to
relieve tension, to allow one to more forward. We shouldn't make too
much of this.

Of course, it was a mistake to reintroduce the errors of youth. There
are some temptations when we set down in front of a computer too.
However, we should note that apologies were made.
