Re: [Marxism] Maybe Evo should change his name to Goldstein
I assume Joaquin's subject line was a subtle literary allusion to the
Goldstein of 1984, but it went right over my head. Care to amplify?
Anyways, as for International Viewpoint, the selection of articles
seems to have been quite diverse (and yes, they should have had
something by Solares -- although they did have his vice president).
Solares seems to me to be a sectarian who says many correct things but
hasn't the politics to carry them out. It's a shame this list can't
discuss the range of politics on the Leninist left in Bolivia while
we're discussing the broader debate.
And IV, and the USec of the FI behind it, won't help reorganize that
Leninist left. THAT's why they make do with publishing a range of
interviews, and an article by their own correspondent with the kind of
vague phrases Joaquin rightly criticizes. But that's the Pablo-Mandel
tradition: either thoughtlessly adapt, or take a removed, academic,
impossible to understand journalistic position which helps no-one
decide what to do.
