[Marxism] On the "socialismo" in MAS

During his recent visit to Orinoca, his birthplace, after the polls, 
Evo Morales was greeted with Bolivian flags, Wiphalas (the seven-
colored flag of the indigenous communities, a symbol dating back to 
the times of the Inca Empire), and "unzaguista" flags.

The "Unzaguista" flags (white, blue and black) were the flags of the 
Falange Socialista Boliviana, wherefrom the "socialista" comes to 
Evo's party name.

A brief (and almost positive and tender) view of Unzaga follows in 
shorthand translation from a footnote:

Oscar Unzaga de la Vega, Bolivian politician, was strongly influenced 
by the Fascist ideology that was very usual during the 1930s, he is 
the founder of the Falange Socialista Boliviana (FSB), and opposses 
with bullets and revolutions the regime of the young Movimiento 
Nacionalista Revolucionario (MNR).  He died in strange circumstances 
[his body was found together with that of his secretary in a bathroom 
at a La Paz building].  

One of his political heirs [the FSB turned into a rather social-
christian party after Unzaga's death], David Añez Pedraza, made a 
present to the Instrumento Político por la Soberanía de los Pueblos 
(IPSP) -"Political Tool for the Sovereignty of the Peoples"- of Evo 
Morales, of the "personería jurídica" (legal standing), the name of 
the party and the acronym Movimiento al Socialismo Unzaguista (MAS-U) 
as well as the colors of the party: blue, white and black.  Thus, 
Morales could take part in the general elections.
