Thanks for writing this, and I realized after I wrote my last post
on what it would take to meet the demands listed by Joaquin, that
I didn't say what I thought was assumed (and can never be): that
one task of the structures I discussed -- working class/indigenous
councils on the road to power -- is to figure out how the material
demands of the masses are shaped by nationality, and therefore how
the demands themselves have to reflect that. So it's not just
fighting for ownership of and control over the revenues of
hydrocarbons, but also the ability for workers and the indigenous
to discuss how those revenues will explicitly be targeted to
address the profounder deprivation of particular national
communities.
