[Marxism] Fwd: [handsoffvenezuela] Socialism High on the Agenda of Upcoming Worl d Social Forum
Heavens! Don't they know socialism is LOW on the agenda?! And
that no matter where it is on the agenda it's IMPOSSIBLE?!
Somebody stop them, please!
Must be a bunch of white people planning this thing.

Socialism High on Agenda of Upcoming World Social Forum
CARACAS, January 4- The building of socialism in Latin America is one
of the main topics to be addressed at the 6th World Social Forum to
be held in Caracas, Venezuela on January 24-29.
Jacobo Torres, a member of the organizing committee, told Prensa
Latina that following the recent electoral events in the region the
topic of building socialism is gaining ground among the expressed
interests of the participating organizations.
Torres said a key element is to define the participation of popular
movements in this new unfolding political process.
With winds of change blowing Latin America, 80 to 100 thousand
visitors are expected in Caracas for the 6th World Social Forum,
which will feature numerous cultural presentations and workshops.
Torres said that other topics whose inclusion in the agenda has been
requested extend to militarization and wars, and a comparison between
the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas (ALBA) and the Free Trade
Area of the Americas (FTAA).
