RE: [Marxism] American Indian money diverted into Israel sniperschool!

This is an excellent example of what Louis P. was describing as Jim
Craven's unique contribution to this list.

As far as I'm concerned, he can be as abrasive as he wants, so long as
he continues to teach us more about what we don't know.

I've been reading quite a bit of late into this matter of
U.S.-constructed Indian self-government...even as the news tells me
about the new U.S.-constructed democratic government in Iraq.

Response Jim C: Thanks to Mark for understanding where I have been
coming from and why.

Look, if I attacked anyone personally, by name, on this list as a
petit-bourgeois,
sectarian, House Marxian, know-it-all, narcissistically self-interested
(only in THEIR cause),
detached, imperial, arrogant, pseudo-left etc etc then I could well
understand how my views
would be seen as abrasive and list-destructive attacks--especially if
attacking someone
I did not know and without any evidence.

But the personality type to which I allude, sterile, detached,
cv-notching House Marxians
for whom "the struggle" is but an academic market niche, who use victims
as objects and
commodities for their own bullshit "research"--without caring what is
happening to the
victims only how they can be used and then dumped--who care nothing
about their
work being useable and understandable,or even read by the real world
victims to which
they allude in their work, who think that spewing polemics on internet
lists is all they
need to do for revolutionary praxis,--do exist in the real world, do
setback the movement and the
Real world struggles of real world victims.

Who would take issue with this or call my polemics abrasive when they
are not directed to any one
person on this list (like being called personally "childish" for example
by someone who does not
know me) except perhaps, perhaps, someone who has just had a nerve
zinged by polemics
that are disturbing because that person knows, even with some resolution
of some cognitive
dissonance problems, that what is being said applies. Some of my
students for example,
when they ask me why they failed in my class and then I list what it
takes to pass and they
immdiately say "you are accusing me of whatever" from a long list of
factors and the
Whatever to which they refer is usually the whatever that does apply; no
need to be
oerly sensitive to what was not being personally them unless it applies
and they
rally know best--deep down--if it does.

And yes, the Indian Reorganization Governments are exact parallels--even
models--of the
Occupying "authorities" and institutions of the Iraqi Occupying
Authority and their
Selcted minions in the present phony government.

As for my rage, ask Louis or Macdonald Stainsby who have been deep deep
inside
Blackfoot Country with me where my rage comes from. Ask them, who were
respected
And treated warmly because they came to our world to see it for
themselves and ask
US how they could be of service, ask them how some Native activists feel
about
academic-saviors, House Marxians, grand theoreticians etc who seem
To "support" revolution everywhere but where it is actually going on and
seem
To be "making" revolution everywhere but where they are and have no
problem using\
Victims and their struggles for their cv-notching and irrelevant
publications but really care nothing
(as evidenced by lack of follow-up) about the victims who are objects
and commodities
To be used in their career enhancement.

Those who find my polemics abrasive, when not directed to them
personally, may
Be responding and revealing more about what is going on with themselves
and what they
Really intend than anything about the objective nature and intent of my
polemics.

Jim C
