Following the recent (partial) victory by striking Seamen in defending
the minimum wage (at sea) a campaign in which SF were very active,
Arthur Morgan TD said on the 13th December:

'The gains achieved, for the existing workforce and the new staff, prove
that it is worth marching, it is worth protesting, it is worth joining a
union.'

Just the most recent of many I could pull out to counter your memory
problems.
