[Marxism] Tookie Williams, prisoner of conscience, was executed for pleading not guilty and appealing his conviction

As Schwarzenegger made very clear in his triangulated statement
authorizing his execution.  People should reference the
Caryl  Chessman case, where his denials of guilt and appeals became the
central argument for executing him.

Making the fact that someone says they are not guilty, while the jury
thought otherwise, into the central argument for executing them --
Schwarzenegger clearly centers his decision on the absence of a
confession of guilt -- is a clear violation, to put it very delicately
indeed.

The whole reconsideration was a well-triangulated operation aimed at
firming up Schwarzenegger's base on the right, while appealing to soft
support for the death penalty as well -- the "compassionate" approach to
legal murder needed to keep it going in stormier times.
