Alan, I think you meant that the thread on Marxmail might need to be ?shut
down? if it was too ingrown.
BTW I tend to agree with Peter Boyle that it would be better if left groups
stopped trying to keep discussion bulletins internal, both because they
leak out anyway and because it invests the documents with a spurious
?secret importance?. On the former point, I just did an experiment: I went
to the Green Left site and keyed in my name into the search engine, and
guess what came up top of the list? An item reporting an internal letter I
wrote to the ISO leadership long ago, and also a letter from the British
SWP leadership that had never been released to the ISO rank and file. I
remember learning about it first in Green Left Weekly. How dumb is that.
