But you never pointed to any evidence or responded to any of our
points concerning this assertion.  How do you explain the upsurge in
68?  How do you explain all those things Bob Montgomery listed like
LRBW/DRUM, the BPP, the "black power" slogan, whose programme
certainly wasn't centered on "voting rights"?  You simply didn't
answer any of that with reference to actual experiences of history.

In terms of you being offended I understand completely, I have felt
offended many many times on this list as people who've been on here
for a few years have probably noted!  Actually some of the people I
respect most in politics would probably be lynched if they started
posting to this list simply because of their writing style and/or
their investment in certain political positions-but ultimately you
respect people in real life for their commitment and sacrifice not on
the internet for their insightful emails.  I guess you just have to
take everything that people say with a grain of salt.  I think for all
of us this is a good arena to play with ideas and see which ones hold
up under an onslaught of criticism and flaming.  But if I came off
arrogant or insensitive I'm sorry - it's impossible to know who people
really are on here, you can only judge what they say and respond.
