Joaquín's points are all good ones, of course. My main point was how
*interesting* this interview is in Green Left Weekly. BTW...the guy is a union
activist (and we're talking BOLIVIAN unions here) so the sort of 'anti-statist'
think you mentioned could be reflection of a kind of syndicalism. I don't really
know.

One of the interesting things is the kind of love/hate thing going on with
Morales/MAS and working class and community organizations. The El Alto COR
union committee, to cite just one example, refused to endorse the MAS, then
endorsed it, then withdrew the endorsement, based on Morales flaky statements
on nationalization, or not, of oil/gas. I don't know where they stand now.
Clearly Morales is something of a wild card, not just for business and
imperialism, but for workers and the left as well. I think this is part of the
fascinating, from afar certainly, multi-faceted aspect of mass movement in
Bolivia.
