He [Rodriguez, the Foreign Minister] said the Venezuelan government
was not pleased with results, despite the substantial, though
insufficient, mobilization.
"We have to launch campaigns to encourage political awareness in all

New Venezuelan Assembly to Ensure Participation
Caracas, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan National Assembly elected
Sunday will constitute a social power that will prioritize contact with
the population, said Venezuelan Congress (unicameral) president Nicolas
Maduro Monday.
Maduro presented the deputies who won the legislative elections
Sunday, and said that after official January 5 confirmation, the work
of the Assembly will emphasize discipline and popular participation.
He announced that social participation networks to consult grassroots
movements will be activated and proclaimed at the end of transition in
the National Assembly and the start of a new stage.
...Added to these institutions, indigenous organizations chose their
own deputies, as part of the actions taken to end exclusion of this
sector of the population.
