Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

We still need to work out what to do with the forces
(cadres) we have now.

(OK, I'm in Australia, so "we" isn't quite
appropriate, but there are rather obvious similarities
with the situation in the US.)

There isn't a mass upsurge at the moment, but surely
the point is to politically prepare for such a thing.
What can be done about that?

Well, for starters, expanding and uniting the forces
that actually exist at the moment would be useful.
Simply doing that would increase the scope and
effectiveness of what can be achieved at the present.

That means organisation, education, and, well,
actually all the stuff a "party" does. Yes, the
balance between its tasks would be shaped by the
present situation, but the goal would be to create
something that could reorientate itself when the
situation changes.

The question is really: where to begin/what is to be
done? But that's always the question.
