And in regard to the question of waiting for the 'right' moment I suggest you

At some stage the ever so appealing notion of  unity has to get off the chat 
lists and into the real world. And it takes guts to do that. The thing that 
strikes me about so much of the organised left is that it suffers from an 
habituation to abstractions and 'our day will come' scenarios such that they 
are in fact alligning themselves with the Christian adage that "the meek shall 
inherit the earth".

Live right. Think right. Spread the faith....and one day, the trumpet shall 
sound -- whoo-ha, comrades! -- forward to the world October!

Better to KNOW what you KNOW rather than DO what you DON'T KNOW.

The major asset that the Scottish comrades had -- I mean the ISM which drove 
the SSP process-- is that they risked all on a tactic. They were indeed very 
brave and somewhat bold in daring what they did.

How it works DIY is something you don't know until you try, but the New Zealand 
comrades -- and there are very few of them at the core mainly the small 
Socialist Worker group and its Unite trade union allies -- have fostered what I 
think is a great beginning. They have been ever so careful and patient in 
drawing in active elements and opening up the process to input and stewardship.

It's all about this, I reckon: Keep your eyes on the prize!
