[Marxism] Science and Psuedoscience
Mark L wrote
Let's get back to the point..
As an example of how social sciences are really like hard sciences, we
have meteorology on the table alongside economics.
I'm waiting to see some dissection of these disciplines. In particular,
I'm interested in knowing about the differences
Ah yes, sorry the weekend intervened... Lets see... I guess I was thinking
more of the similarities. But I would think the similarities are in the
err general sphere (can't think of the correct philosophical term right
now) and the differences in the particular.
So the similarites: chaotic systems which can be studied scientifically,
but in some situation cant be predicted exactly (but dont forget chaotic
systems do have periods of predictability along side the chaos)
the differences: the constituents, the observables of the constituents,
the laws they obey.
but still constituents, observables and laws..
sorry for the short, vague reply. Bouncing around ideas really
cheers,
Tony
ps just had a thought when i saw how u changed the title. Are u suggesting
that economics is a psuedoscience? i would say the bourgeois version -
yes, but a more developed marxist one... no
