[Marxism] Rosa Parks: leadership by the rank and file
Marvin :
I recall hearing or reading somewhere that she was close to the CPUSA. Any
truth to this?
^^^^^
CB: I want to make clear that my evidence is but a shread of a scintilla, as
they say, but I once heard a CP party official say that she was in a CP club
at the time she sat down and in on the bus.
I heard the other day that she had been active in the Scottsboro Boys' case,
which is a sort of indirect indicator that it is more likely.
So, I'm not concluding that she was, but here is a bit of a shread of a
scintilla of evidence.
The CP in the South in the period had church deacons as members and the
like.
Membership in the NAACP was dangerous.
