I strongly recommend *Marxists in face of fascism: Writings by Marxists on
fascism from the inter-war period* edited by David Beetham (Manchester
University Press, 1983).

Clericalism (and there's no indication that avowed Iraqi muslim rebels will
settle for nothing short of that), is hardly the same thing as fascism. Nor,
morevor, is it the only, or even the major, social force in Iraq opposed to
modernity (que?), Marxism, democracy, and sexual equality. That distinction
goes to rapacious capitalist imperialism in Iraq, which BK has cheerleaded
for previously.

I will leave BK's supposedly anti-sectarian appeals to organising for
socialism within the British Labour Party and its affiliated trade union
coteries, for the historical record.

Yes, that's okay. But you'd be better off looking at things in class terms
rather than slinging epithets around. Have you ever read Marxist literature
on fascism? You'd find it quite illuminating.
