Re: [Marxism] Re: Peak oil and politics

Jon,

If only you had included Bob Dylan in your list of peakists, you would
have nailed the case for oil scarcity.

And Lulu, what does Lulu say? How about Mugabe? What about China?

What are we playing here, the hydrocarbon version of Hollywood Squares?
Where's Whoopee?

And what does that tell you? Does that mean Fidel agrees with those
indisputably right wing characters like Campbell, Deffeyes, Ivanhoe,
etc. whom you cite as equal if not greater authorities than Hugo, Fidel,
and Stan?

Simple questions: Why did Venezuela's production peak near the time of
the US's despite the fact that proven reserves of conventional sources
have doubled since the production peak?

Why hasn't Mexico's production tumbled despite the drastic decline in
proven reserves over the past 15 years?

You can designate Hugo, Fidel, Stan as a lifeline and call them for
advice.
