[Marxism] Be nice

I believe that there is too much personal animosity applied in internet
discussions. Disagreeing with someone's politics, analysis or whatever, is
likely to be as heated as the disagreements are profound. This might entail
use of epithets like 'racist' or 'sexist' or whatever. To me, if someone's
argument is racist or sexist it should be called out for being such. But I
really fail to see the point in getting into heated arguments with persons
you are never likely to meet. Most of the time, there is *no way* some of
the slurs and insults that are traded on email discussion lists would be
forthcoming in face to face debate (unless punching and getting punched is
your thing).

So, I think people should try not to respond to insults and aggression from
faceless computer opponents. People should try and stick to the substantive
issues rather than getting all uppity, even when they are accused of being
reactionary. Truth will out, and if something walks racist, talks racist,
and smells racist, then it probably is racist.
