Geography's the key. Lydeborough is what? -- 20 or 30 miles from the
Massachusetts border? That's suburbia.

New Hampshire is divided into two economies: the south, center and coastal
areas are heavily influenced by their proximity to Boston, and have what I'll
call a sane or modern economy.

But once you get above Franconia notch, there is a totally different
economy. In the northern part of NH minimum wage and near-minimum wage jobs
are common, the region is filled with dying towns and cities (e.g. Berlin),
and unemployment -- whether open or hidden by support of families or
part-time/self employment -- is rampant. Believe me, no one in the northern
part of NH is paying $200 or more for a cord of wood.

In solidarity.
