Re: [Marxism] Why Washington wants to keep talking with North Korea

Absolutely!

I believe that history will judge the Iraqi resistance to have held the line
against US imperialism. The Iraqi project was supposed to be a done deal by
now. By now the US Oilocracy/Pentagon alliance were meant to be knocking on
the door of Syria, Iran, Cuba and/or Venezeula. Other so-called rogue nations
such as N. Korea were supposed to have been brought to heel, terrified by US
power, and the Chinese, Russians and European powers were supposed to have
received the message that the bulk of the world's energy reserves would
henceforth flow from a tap controlled by the US ruling class.

None of this has occurred due to the heroic resistance put up by the Iraqi
resistance with the active and/or tacit support of the majority of the Iraqi
people.

On the contrary, a revolutionary current now runs the length and breadth of
South America. The gains made by Chavez and the Bolivarian Revolution have
continued apace only because the US is tied down in Iraq. Convulsions in
Ecuador and Bolivia have been allowed to evolve into genuinely popular
movements
against US imperialism and globalisation for the same reason.

Now all that needs to happen is the emergence of radical movements for
social change in the US itself. Speed the day.
