Sounds horrible- pompous grandstanding. It always amazes me how these fogies
can bear to sing songs written over forty years ago over and over and over
again. None of those people mentioned have made any good music since the
1960s I'd say (though I don't like any of their music too much- least of all
Clapton). At least there is a fiscal imperative to their recurrent droning.
The same cannot be said of their aging fans, who appear to delight in the
old 'classics' being performed identically time in and out. Its all about
image really, and identifiying with the image. It is wise to avoid the pop
charts generally IMO.
I intend to watch the Dylan documentary myself later- I taped part one that
last night.
