[Marxism] German's Left Party and Proportional Representation

The German and European bourgeois media is questioning Proportional
Representation because it did not produce a clear winner in Germany.

However, PR enabled the new Left party to elect spokespersons for its
point of view to the German Parliament:

"Earlier, the PDS had only managed 4 per cent of the vote in the
previous elections, which did not make it eligible to have seats in
Parliament under Germany's proportional representation scheme (which
requires a minimum of 5 per cent of the total vote share). The new Left
Party's achievement is really quite significant, since it is the first
new party in the German post-war history to have such a success."
