Re: [Marxism] Antiwar demonstration in Washington

The only reason I mentioned it, and the reason it caught my attention, is
that it illustrates (in my opinion) Louis' contempt for the forces that do
exist. Spelling this the same way twice (by the way, I still don't know, or
care for that matter, what group Louis was trying to refer to) was no typo,
it was contempt, as is his refusal, on more than one occasion, to remember
that the "ex-WWP'ers" who are now (and were before) part of the central
leadership of ANSWER are organized in a party called the Party for Socialism
and Liberation. Perhaps Louis doesn't think it worth remembering or caring
about every force on the left who forms a tiny party, group, or sect if you
prefer that term. But the group which has been in the forefront of
organizing many if not most of the largest demonstrations in the last
decade, whatever you think of their strategy and tactics, at least deserves
to be acknowledged. I remember a few years ago, back in the time of the
Elian Gonzalez struggle, when Gloria LaRiva, who is part of that leadership,
addressed the May Day crowd in Havana of more than a million people. Is
there anyone here who can say the same? Louis?
