I've just sat and watched an hour or so of heart-rending Australian
Sunday morning TV about New Orleans, and quite a lot of the horrible
truth is coming through: racism, poverty, police state, diversion of
resources to Iraq, Bush the asshole, and so on. I realised I knew most
of it already, both facts and interpretations, because of the posts by
American comrades to this list. You are a huge resource for us outside
the States.
