[Marxism] Re: Reporting on the evil of looting amidst the horror

Well, at first, to be honest, looting is just that, stealing, so I
don't mind using it. At first I thought this was sort of a typical
situation like I saw in NY during it's black out back in the late
1970s. . . or after the Steelers or Pirates in Pittsburgh when they
won their respective championships, or the L.A. riots. My mind
changed after watching CNN of all stations, actually interview people
appropriating supplies from stores and realized that this is purely
survival...in fact, with a little bit of finesse, if I were Mayor,
I'd declare ALL food stores and shoe stores open for free. People are
actually DYING at the Superdome for lack water and food! CNN this
morning had an amazingly *angry* broadcast showing the chaos and
death at the Dome with no one at all in authority there after
declaring two days ago that people should make their way to what has
not become a huge concentration camp for people with no access to
transportation, mostly Black, although there are plenty of whites
mixed in also (something I was pleased to see in the looting of
supplies at stores as well).

These people were very much set up..."go to the Superdome"...and die!
It will be interesting to see the political payback when this
situation stabilizes.
