[Marxism] GreenLeft review of Woods' Venezuela book
http://www.greenleft.org.au/back/2005/639/639p21.htm
A very positive review for all the right reasons (my only quibble
is that the reviewer claims Woods characterizes "Chavez as a representative of
'petty-bourgeois revolutionary democracy' who, while being supported in his
progressive actions, must be pushed to the left by building 'an independent
revolutionary proletarian current'?.
If Woods puts it exactly this way, given the nonsectarian approach
the reviewer rightly credits him with, I think Woods will see over
time that Chavez will continue to deepen ties with, and to promote
himself, the proletarian character of and organizations in the
Revolution.
