Havana, Aug 19 (Prensa Latina) Israel's pullout from Gaza is a
triumph of the Palestinian resistance, but final victory demands a
continuation of the struggle, said Palestinian ambassador to Cuba
Imad Jada´a.

The Palestinian Authority representative in Havana said his people is
celebrating the event, but it is clear that there are many obstacles
to be overcome before reaching the final target, that is the
establishment of a sovereign, independent Palestinian state.

He said withdrawal from Gaza cannot be seen as a concession by Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon, still less attributed to his benevolence.

He warned this view is spread by Tel Aviv and Washington to hide the
fact that there has been a devolution of a territory that belongs to
the Palestinian people, who has been repressed and humiliated in its
own land.

"What this is all about is a forced pullout because of the
Palestinian resistance and because these settlements had become an
economic, military burden for the Israeli state," he said.
