I assume we're all agreed on the need for a counterattack like Joaquín
suggests; knowing the facts just makes it much, much easier to figure out HOW 
to present the truth.

Having said that, while defending Cindy, let's all start putting
some more energy into what WBAI, Jennifer Lowenstein et al. have
been doing so effectively the last couple days -- counterposing
the weaping for the poor Gaza settlers with the total lack of
sympathy for one single Palestinian refugee. And while we're at it
let's start by demanding some support for '48 refugees. Now's
as good a time as any -- better in fact -- to reraise the return
slogan through its own natural vehicle: a Palestine solidarity
movement that is part of but not identical with the broader
antiwar movement.

And on a subjective note I'm tempted to advocate that we raise
the demand that anyone from New York City currently living in
Israel or the other occupied territories have their US citizenship
revoked. I am SOOOOOOOOO friggin' tired of reading quotes from
them in the papers.

I'm saying what I'm saying because I want to defend what she says and
stands for.  It's not an effective defense of it if I say that it's a
"misquote" when it isn't.  That should be obvious.
