This is the point. She has reignited the anti-war movement because of who she
is perceived to be. Only when middle America comes around to how awful US
foreign policy is will there be action. Let Cindy speak for middle America.

"So what" is that if she is perceived as a way out leftist, which she isn't,
she will be ignored. The thing about her is she looks and talks like a typical
American mother of a soldier in Iraq. ... We can go to her and demand she
support Mumia Abu-Jamal, the FARC in Colombia, Fidel Castro, the Naxalites in
India, the NPA in the Philippines and whatnot, but then her effectiveness will
disappear in a puff of smoke. ... She is a grieving mother of a soldier who
died in Iraq, so she makes a hard target to attack. Any of the conservative
mud-slingers who really goes after her I'd tend to think would look bad
themselves. So it is her and the left's game to lose....
