Well, I guess I'm never going to make it as an ironist.  What I was
objecting to is not the baiting of me by comparing me to Walter
Lippmann, but the baiting of Walter Lippmann which I feel is taking on
proportions which are alien to the purposes of this list.

Is this list going to become factionalized? What purpose would that
serve?  But is that where we really want to go? I think that the
personal attack on Lippmann that you dragged into  your response to me
was unconsconable, and I hope you will cooperate in calling a halt to
baiting of Walter Lippmann on the list.

Reminds me of drive-'em-out campaigns in the SWP.

If you are going to do the rational thing, as I really do assume, you
don't need to respond to this, in my opinion.
