1. Nobody is denouncing Lula for betrayals.  He acts as the agent of the
bourgeoisie.  He is on the other side of the class line.

2. No one denies the minority status of the PT.  So what?  That excuses
servicing the debt?  How about this:  renouncing the debt in total?  How
about absolute controls on capital?  Wait, can't be done?  Sorry, the
bourgeoisie have already done such things, in Argentina, in Malaysia,
which by the way did not prevent declines in living standards in
Argentina, etc.  Still, why make excuses for Lula's delivering the
lucre?

3. Re pensions:  Gee what a shame.  They get to retire at 48 and 53.
Not a shame, a total crime!  And exactly when do the bourgeoisie get to
retire?  Answer:  whenever they want to.   Hey Raffarin,   look at Lula,
how come you couldn't deliver?  You wanker, live like him!   Damn the
shirker civil servants.  Not that far a step for social democracy from
accommodation of the demands for debt service to reducing the wages of
the workers, is it?

4. Before Jurriaan lectures Marxists about learning the realities of
Brazil, he would do well to examine the economic realities himself.
Like land reform.  Like the shuttering and abandonment of factories.
Like tax rebates for international capital, which then takes the money
and runs. We are talking export of capital here, from Brazil to the
international financial centers.

There's not one bit of caution in any of JB's judgements, such as they
are.  The judgements amount to nothing but an uncritical endorsement of
the bourgeoisie's current program for anti-working class struggle.
