I never argued that.
I argued that white-skin privilege was at the root of Louis' contradiction
between pursuing a strategy similar to Lula's in the USA and then being
critical of it in Brazil, read this quote carefully:
"Actually I wouldn't have any problem with your criticism of Mbeki, Lula and
Hu Jintao, if it weren't so contradictory."
You might be aware that others have been critical of Lula, and I didn't
address those criticisms, and some of which I even agree with. Ditto Mbeki
and Hu. I don't have much problems with those. At best I agree, and worse
they are completely irrelevant. What I do have a problem is this glaring
contradiction exhibited by Louis across the board. First it is Evo Morales
the traitor, then it is Lula, then it is Mbeki. But Nader? Well, he is some
sort of savior!
Lula is a more sucessful Nader, and to be critical of one without being
critical of the other, smacks me of a double standard which, again, I can
only explain from a position of privilege, which in the USA takes the form
of white skin privilege.
It is as if it is expected of non-whites to die, kill, and suffer civil wars
and invasions, against all odds and without regards to present conditions,
but god forbid the same is asked of the imperialists countries!
Then you are an ultra-left sectarian!
Louis incorrectly interprets this as me accusing him of being a racist and a
Zionist, instead of like you just did, answering the points raised.
