Actually I wouldn't have any problem with your criticism of Mbeki, Lula and
Hu Jintao, if it weren't so contradictory.
For example, in the USA, you supported Nader and the Green Party, who are to
the right of all of them in almost all issues.
That is the point you happen to miss Louis, that you can't be a reactionary
liberal at home and an ultra-revolutionary abroad.
You can twist yourself around in circles defending the Zionist liquidation
of the anti-imperialist movement in the USA, yet decry Mbeki, Lula and Hu
Jintao as neo-liberal scroundels.
I am not a fan of any of them, on the other hand, they certainly represent
advances over any of the imperialist alternatives that would be in power.
Certainly I would preffer to be in China than on the runaway province, I
preffer Lula to Cardoso, and certainly I would preffer to live under Mbeki
than under De Klerk or horrors of horrors, Botha.
It seems only white people in white countries can have strategies that
appeal to the wide masses in order to guarantee the success of their
projects. This double standard is extremely surprising from someone so
avowedly atuned to the plight of Native Americans in the USA.
