Re: [Marxism] Sociobiological tripe about Jewish "intelligence"

From: "Mike Friedman" <mikedf@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>
As Rose points out, genes do not "determine" complex traits (Mendelian
traits being exceptions, and minor ones, in the scheme of things), but are
better seen as part of an organism's developmental toolkit. Moreover, the
nature-nurture dichotomy is false. The two are inseparably intertwined.
Even Mendelian/physionomic traits simply have a more or less stable (in
human observable terms) reproduction capacity. But they are subject to
mutation (albinos), to enviromental factors (peas that have genes for
growing tall will grow dwarf if in a nutrition poor enviroment, but dwarf
gened ones will grow normal or even bigger), and to evolutionary change not
linked to aiding in succesful reproduction (the variety in human beauty
standards).
So nature/nuture is not only a false dichotomy, but the Mendelian view on
genetics is a shortsighted and false view on evolutionary terms.
That I, a college drop out can see the obviousness of this and express it in
scientific, demonstrable terms in a short paragraph or two is living proof
that the scientific establishment under capitalism is too full of bullshit
to believe everything it says.

You non economists might be interested to know that researchers in my
field have used
rat experiments to prove that people (rats) with less foresight become
impoverished,
showing that the poor are responsible for their plight. You can learn a
lot from
science.
Go PETA on their ass. Unite all that can be united and all that.
