RE: [Marxism] Book Review: The Radical Middle Class
I used the word 'moral' ironically in referring to Michael Hoover's use of
the phrase 'moral economy' to denote the traditional ideology of 'middle
class radicals' in his book review. It should not be forgotten that the
'bedrock realities' of the American economy were historically shaped by
political praxis, and not merely apologised for antecedently.
MARK LAUSE WROTE:
What kind of Marxism is "moral bedrock"? I mean, you have ideological
excuses and justifications and rationales for the bedrock
realities...but when did those realities become "moral"?
