[Marxism] Faulty armor, Laguna Beach, Mark Felt, and the Dreyfus Case

Faulty armor, Laguna Beach, Mark Felt, and Dreyfus

One common thread in these stories is simple anger and resentment
against stupidity and against being ignored.

A sharp shift in candied images can be an eye-opener. Both the naive
Marine recruit and the hardened cynic have fault lines of disgust.

In my own case, although I was a nominal socialist in 1960, it was the
victory of the inexperienced, moderate (today he would have been a New
Democrat) Kennedy over the experienced passionate liberal Humphrey
(what did I know), that inspired me to register as an independent--my
first step towards revolutionary socialism.

I was outraged over Kennedy's primary and convention victory, which was
based on his wealth and aura, over a more liberal and more deserving
candidate.

The Florida workers were not only objecting to low wages, but to
disgustingly low employers. Long-time residents of picturesque and
affluent Laguna Beach objected to the crassness and uncoolness of the
"bling" generation and their megahouse churches dedicated to
themselves. Mark Felt was passed over for FBI Chief in favor of a toady
outsider. And eventually all of France knew of the viciousness of the
traitors who victimized Dreyfus in order to protect their own
caste-hierarchy in the French military.
