[Marxism] Fidel Castro: "A different behavior"

Fidel Castro spoke last night to a gathering of 200,000
people in front of the US Interests Section in Havana
where he outlined steps which had been taken during the
Clinton administration to stop anti-Cuban terrorist
activities against the island, and how Cuban exiles in
Miami sabotaged those steps. That was the origin of the
arrests and convictions of the five men we know of today
as the Cuban Five. Fidel sent a message in 1998 to Bill
Clinton responding to a US overture. He used the help of
Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez to facilitate
and bring the message to Clinton. Fidel read the complete
unedited transcript of Garcia Marquez's report which is
included in this speech. It speaks for itself but Fidel
appeals directly to the people of the United States via
this speech, as reflected in the speech's final words.
Instead of the familiar "Patria o Muerte! Venceremos!"
closing, Fidel's closing words are totally different:

"Long live friendship between the peoples of Cuba
and the United States!"

Fidel's speech is very long and detailed. To read
a shorter summary of his main points read this:
