Actually, this has nothing to do with the Newsweek affair, but rather with
the fact that the Army is prosecuting some of these soldiers.
I think the NYT article is actually directed at supporting the liberal
argument that all of these abuses are sole responsablity of a few rotten
apples, and not a systemic undertaking.

This was at the top of my NYTimes e-mail this morning. I presume that it
will be also be featured on the front page of the print edition. Since
subscriptions to the NYTimes are free, I presume that everyone has access
to it. If I am wrong, Louis can post the whole thing or major parts.
