You fail to mention that Salazar's government was "neutral" in the same
manner Franco's was "neutral", including service in the Blue Division and
other Waffen SS units.
Aristides Sousa Mendes, the Portuguese consul to Bordeaux, is celebrated for
having disobeyed direct orders and saving the lives of more than 30,000,
mostly jews, by issuing them visas.
Autralia was justified in its invasion of East Timor on solid anti-fascist
grounds, althought I think it was an strategic blunder.
