RE: [Marxism] More on AFL-CIO Reorganization
There are many articles on the 'New Unity Partnership' (NUP) on
the Labor Notes website
www.labornotes.org/nupdiscussion/index.html
The rise last year of the New Unity Partnership, a coalition of
four unions which sought sweeping structural change in the
AFL-CIO, touched off a great deal of debate in the labor movement
and media about how best to kick some life into US unions. Labor
Notes welcomes this debate. As part of an effort to help keep
labor activists informed about this much-needed exchange, Labor
Notes has compiled some of the highlights about and around the
NUP that have appeared over the last year. Labor Notes will
continue to update this page as the debate develops. If you have
any contributions or suggestions, please email:
